Rather, we help students strengthen their creativity, build their confidence and discover their unique voice. Advanced Placement (AP) classes are college-level classes with a final exam that, if passed, may count toward college credit. The art school was created in 1990 to meet the needs of two groups of students.–those who wanted to pursue professional work in the arts and those who wanted to study the arts as a vocation. It also provides students the opportunity to develop their artistic skills under the guidance of dedicated educators.

New York Film Academy

The New York school is a unique, professional, and specialized school providing students with the skills to excel in their chosen career fields for more than a decade. Instead, we are an arts academy committed to the highest standards of excellence for all of our students. The school offers a broad range of art classes, such as dance, theater, instrumental music, vocal music, visual art, literary arts, or production art. A palette of whites, deep blues, and gold creates an elegant atmosphere in the formal living room, which was designed by Rachel Duarte. The designer established two seating areas within the space, including a cozy gathering spot with chaise longues that flank the original carved marble fireplace.

The glamorous touches continue in the ensuite bath, where Sabatella added a custom mirror-tiled tub that plays off the vintage French tile floor. The designers worked with a color palette of Dunn-Edwards paints, and several chose to highlight the brand’s 2024 Color of the Year, a steely blue called Skipping Stones. Nods to Pasadena’s famous peacocks can be found throughout the designs, and many creators fearlessly brought in statement floors, enveloped their spaces with jewel tones, and added texture to ceilings. Others focused on bringing the beauty of the estate’s gardens and views inside with verdant murals, floral fabrics, and nature-inspired lighting. Program leaders believe the new building will not only allow students to develop their artistic talents, but it will also help bring them together as a community.

ArtCenter is a private nonprofit fully accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). Renowned for both its ties to industry and social impact initiatives, the College is the first design school to receive the United Nations’ Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) status. Summer of Art culminates in a final exhibition, providing students the experience of being part of a gallery show with their peers, while sharing their work with family and friends.

In tandem with the California-made production, the collection leans into quintessential Americana styles – whether it be through denim or something as simple as plaid boxer shorts. One of the highlights of this project is the building is going to be both an indoor and outdoor classroom for the students. Coursework includes demonstrations, hands-on learning, lectures, and critiques in a chosen Specialization and/or Drawing Studio. Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive two college credits for Specializations and one college credit for Drawing Studios.

Students are also placed into divisions based on the number of years they have been studying media arts. Students with a combination of three years of media art training in middle school, high school and private training are placed into Division 1.
